Project Summary
iSTAR is the internal interface for content management, user administration, and reporting for six critical systems including ENERGYSTAR.GOV, Qualified Products Exchange (QPX), and MESA. The iSTAR application was 13 years old and had not benefited from any significant enhancement in over four years. I was enaged to develop an upgrade proposal. Leveraging my UX Research, Design, and Product Design skills I performed a comprehensive analysis and upgrade strategy. I identified and prioritized critical challenges and opportunities within the ENERGY STAR program to enhance user experiences.
My involvement spanned various aspects, including addressing system maintenance challenges such as an aging platform and access management issues. By conducting heuristic evaluations, audience research, and persona development, I ensured a user-centered approach to inform design recommendations and implementation strategies.
Furthermore, I contributed to improving performance, workflow efficiencies, and CRM integration, demonstrating my ability to design solutions that streamline processes and optimize user interactions. I collaborated across teams to advocate for Agile Development processes and establish a governance board to facilitate effective decision-making and stakeholder engagement.
Overall, my efforts aimed to drive impactful improvements within complex technological environments, showcasing my expertise in addressing UX challenges and proposing innovative solutions.
